EMGa were appointed to design a New build family house with a contemporary style. The site is long and narrow which brought up a number of architectural challenges. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Mostly single storey with a sedum roof, the house grown to a second storey benefiting from the natural screening of the local trees. To the centre of the house in an enclosed garden to give light to its long plan and in turn creates an additional tranquil space to be enjoyed.

It was important to design a building that was an enhancement to the existing local area, of its time and modern in appearance, the selection of external finishes and the square forms give the house a striking and modest appearance.
